The above list shows how various subjects are weighted in points as published in the Daily Mail 5/9/05.
Flower arranging has twice the value of Maths, an A grade at A level no less, no doubt the same applies to English. Any A level grade A is worth 270 points, even “call handling” whatever that is gets 480.
This is utterly pathetic, we are creating a nation of dunderheads, how on earth are we to compete with other nations when we have a nation of Flower arrangers or media students.
This must be the "Ashes of British Education," once the finest in the world it is now the joke of the world
